There's a good news for users using Google Photos on iPad and iPhone. The users can now use AirPlay to view and send photos on their Apple TV. Interestingly, this latest update came in as Google quietly added the feature to the app on Tuesday.

Google has been able to allow users to send images, videos and more. Also, it has added features such as social photo editing tools as well as improve Apple's own Live Photos. But it never came up with an app that could transfer photos or videos from AirPlay app to Apple Tv. This has been taken care of recently through the latest update. The app is available for download through the App Store.

As per Engadget, Google Photos is a highly popular app for iPhone users as it allows unlimited, automatic and free storage of images up to 16MP. These photos include the ones taken through iPhone and iPad. Users also get to store free videos but up to 1080p and not 4K. Through the AirPlay app, the users can browse the images and choose the photos they want to show off on the giant screen.

A previous update to the AirPlay app last month also provided a faster backup of the photos. In fact, the faster backup was believed to work well for areas with low or poor internet connectivity. Interestingly, Google came up with an excellent solution to poor data coverage, 9TO5Mac reported. The image could be uploaded as a low res preview image that would invariably get replaced with high res preview image on high data coverage area.

Sharing photos and apps have become more fun and exciting through the AirPlay app. What's even better is that users don't need to move out of Google app to do so. It is the right time for the Apple smartphone users to make the most of this.
