The latest update is now available for the T-Mobile variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note5. The latest update is a major one since that brings Android 7.0 Nougat.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update is right now available to download via Samsung Smart Switch. However, reports claim that the official OTA rolls out should also begin soon, as per GSM Arena.

According to Android Police, in a tweet from the company's "gadget guy" @AskDes, it was announced that the T-Mobile Android 7.0 Nougat update has been approved for Samsung Galaxy Note5. It is said that the Android 7.0 Nougat OTA will begin in the early next week for the rollout to begin, so you don't have too much longer to wait now.

While the Galaxy Note5 sounds like it should be a much older device. After the skipping of the number 6 in the name and the Note7 disaster, it's actually still the most recent device in Samsung's popular S Pen-wielding phablet lineup.

In a tweet sent out late last week gadget guy has revealed that they've received approval for the update and the roll out will begin "early next week." However, other major carriers like AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon have already rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to Galaxy Note5 variants on their network.

The Android 7.0 Nougat brings with it several new features and improvements, like better battery management, easier multitasking, and new S Pen capabilities and Doze and quick replies in your notifications. It'll also be nice for Galaxy Note5 owners to be on Nougat, which is the latest major release of Android.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy Note5 is good news both for users and developers who are working on custom ROMs for this smartphone. A new version of Android means that users should see more TouchWiz Nougat ROMs in the near future.
