Apple last year introduced the second generation of their wearables to the markets. The Apple Watch Series 2, equipped with new features and also a potential partnership with Nike, was one of the most sold smartwatches in the markets. While the successful sales of Apple smartwatches can also be attributed to the successive sales of its predecessors, it has been pretty clear as to why Apple manufactured hardware works better with all their other devices.

In the recent years, Android and Apple iOs hasn't just been competing head-to-head in the world of smartphones, but also in the category of smartwatches. This is likely due to the increasing trends in the world of technology reportedly helping people with their body fitness.

That said, Android has a comfortable lead with controlling the markets for both the devices. While it does have a successful share of 82% of the hold in smartphone sales, the same cannot be said for wearables.

Apple Watch has continuously managed to be sold in greater numbers than its Android counterparts as reported by Android Authority. The perfect combination of an Apple Watch with that of an iPhone might be why, while with an Android device, there lies a numerous amount of Android wear smartwatches which people rather hesitate to combine.

There might be a few synchronization issues with the Android side of things, while Apple makes sure the same doesn't happen with their devices. However, comparing prices for both the hardware with that of Apple, Android still manages to get work done for a comparatively lesser cost. Android users are in for a treat with recent reports from Trusted Reviews revealing that certain watch brands have started pushing out Android Wear 2.0 update.

The rollout process has begun with the new update bringing in a lot of new features, a refreshed UI and improved connectivity with smartphones through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The report also mentioned that 19 devices will currently be receiving the new update.
