Fans will be able to get their first look at the "Star Wars Battlefront" and "Need for Speed" experiences on the upcoming EA Play 2017 gaming event in Hollywood, said Electronic Arts (EA). Apart from the two exciting games, EA will also host the playable debut of the company's 2017 EA Sports lineup, offering hands-on demos for Madden NFL 18, FIFA 18, NBA Live 18, and more.

The event, EA Play, was launched last year as an alternative to the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The public event aims to expose the publisher's upcoming lineup of games for home consoles and PCs. This year's event will follow suit a similar lineup of upcoming releases, much like last year's where fans got the chance to try out "Star Wars Battlefront" and "Titanfal"l - two months earlier before they hit the market.

It is unconfirmed whether the next "Star Wars Battlefront" and "Need for Speed" experiences are all-new games or just an add-on content to the existing releases. However, it is expected that EA will unveil many sequels for the first time on the upcoming EA Play 2017. The game publisher stated that the event will feature detailed gameplay deep dives, competitive events as well as exclusive interviews with the game developer teams.

The event will take place at The Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California from June 10 until June 12.  The three-day event will allow fans and gamers alike to experience hands-on gameplay, live entertainment and much more, according to EA. For those who cannot attend the event in person, they can catch up on the announcement, trailers and live panel sessions through EA's Twitch channel.

"For players, content creators, media, industry partners and more, EA Play 2017 will deliver a network of experiences to celebrate a world of play," EA said in its statement. Tickets for EA Play 2017 will be available for purchase starting April 20 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
