Sid Meier's "Civilization VI" is receiving a new update that reportedly brings in two new civilizations. 2K games will be bringing out the new additions as a part of their Spring update for the game. The developer Firaxis, in an earlier report, revealed that the first of the two was the Persian civilization.

Details from GameSpot mention that it will be led by Cyrus II or Cyrus the great. As a part of the new update, Persian units will benefit from a bonus movement during a surprise war that also reportedly results in a lesser diplomatic penalty than for other civilizations. Further, it is understood that the new update for "Civilization VI" will replace normal soldiers by an elite group of heavy foot soldiers termed as "an Immortal unit" who are supposedly stronger on both offense and defense.

The developers have explained in-detail about the Immortal unit on the Steam community, which is believed to consist of 10,000 members, each equipped with both long and short range military weapons and other equipment. Coming to 2K's own announcement about the "Civilization VI" update on the Steam Community news, the story begins when he is successful in building his empire after numerous military campaigns.

He's also understood to be a great respecter of local customs and religions of all his conquered lands. The developers of "Civilization VI" recommend checking out the story of his death while during progress in a game. Apart from the new civilizations, the developers also mentioned that various bugs have been fixed in the upcoming update.

All those players owning the Digital Deluxe Edition copy of Sid Meier's "Civilization VI" will be eligible to unlock the new content automatically. Several players have certain doubts about its pricing and availability among other things since most of them are hoping for a major update to the title.
