“Battlefield 1” Premium members could access the new “They Shall Not Pass” downloadable content on Xbox, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 14. It is two weeks ahead of the March 28 access for regular “Battlefield 1” owners. In preparation for the launch of the DLC, the game’s online functionality would be down for two hours.

Two-Hour Downtime Schedules

But the two-hour downtimes for “Battlefield 1” would be different hours for the three platforms in preparation for the new “They Shall Not Pass” DLC. The downtime for Xbox One would begin at 5 a.m. PT/8 a.m. ET and for PC would start at 1 a.m. PT/4 a.m. ET. For PlayStation 4, it would begin at 3 a.m. PT/6 a.m. ET, according to Windows Central.

According to IGN, the “They Shall Not Pass” expansion of “Battlefield 1” would deliver the French Army to the Great War, together with their blue uniforms and new arms. The DLC includes six new primary weapons, four new maps, two additional operations, a tank, a behemoth and a brand-new elite class. The maps of Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux, Soissons, and Rupture are the biggest aspects of the DLC.

Four Maps

The Verdun Heights map in “Battlefield 1’s” “They Shall Not Pass” Expansion is an infantry-only map which matches the Germans against the French. Fort de Vaux is another infantry-heavy map of a bombed out fortress with parapets and other familiar fixtures. Soissons, home of the new Char 2C Behemoth, is an idyllic French village overtaken by tanks. Rupture has more trenches overgrown with poppies.

US Gamer reports that the two new operations of Battlefield 1’s” “They Shall Not Pass” DLC are The Devil’s Anvil and Beyond the Marne. On one hand, close-quarter combat across Fort de Vaux and Verdun Heights are the features of The Devil’s Anvil. On the other hand, operation heavy on vehicles around Soissons and Rupture characterize Beyond the Marne.
