Fans are already anticipating the arrival of the OnePlus 4 or OnePlus 5. There are rumors that the Chinese company will skip the OnePlus 4 and go straight to the OnePlus 5. Here are some expected specifications and features of the upcoming flagship models.

According to PCAdvisor, the OnePlus 4 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh Dash Charge battery. The smartphone may also feature 64GB of built-in memory, a 5.5-inch Quad-HD AMOLED display, and Oxygen OS, which is based on the Android 7.0 Nougat. The Snapdragon 835 is the latest chipset introduced by Qualcomm at CES 2017, which is an upgrade from the OnePlus 3T's Snapdragon 821.

There have been talks that the company will no longer launch OnePlus 4, but launch the OnePlus 5 instead. The successor to the OnePlus 3T is said to feature a dual primary camera with a 16-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel front shooter. The OnePlus 4 or 5 may also include a 2K display with a bezel-less design. The screen of the upcoming smartphone is believed to be clearer, with a more comfortable grip on the sides.

The OnePlus 4 or 5 will most likely arrive in two variants. One will have 64GB of internal storage, while the second will have 128GB, although both can be expanded up to 256GB. The Dash Charge support allows the handset to charge quickly. The device may also feature a curved screen, which will be the first in the series. There are rumors that the OnePlus 4 will be waterproof.

Based on a TechTimes report, the OnePlus 5 may have a ceramic or metal body. There may be 6GB of RAM. It is still uncertain whether the battery will be 4,000mAh or 4,400mAh, but it will be an improvement over the 3,400mAh of the OnePlus 3T. The Dash Charge support has yet to be confirmed. Early renders hinted that the handset will come in Midnight Black, Candy Red and Pearl White colors.

The OnePlus 3T has been well-received by users, which is why they are eager to see the next flagship model. The number four is deemed bad luck in China, which may be the reason why the company will immediately jump to a OnePlus 5 branding. OnePlus has yet to make an official announcement. More updates and details on the OnePlus 4 or 5 are expected soon.
