Samsung Galaxy S8 Latest News & Update: New Smartphone Flagship Features Appearing At Mobile World Congress 2017

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is not expected to be among the new devices appearing at the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017) with the Korean company making sure they do not rush the next flagship offering. Learning from the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery exploding debacle, Samsung is covering all bases to make sure that nothing goes haywire this time around.

Based on reports, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is slated to start production by March and released in April. The schedule moves away from the traditional release dates for the Samsung Galaxy S series and with good reason. But even if that would be the case, Samsung may not be totally out of the MWC 2017. Reliable tipster posted a render of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, which is being groomed as a competitor for the Apple iPad Pro. While most of its features look impressive, it is the special desktop mode feature that is singled out as linked to the Samsung Galaxy S8/ S8+, BGR.com reported.

While that seems more of speculation, some leaked images may have spilled something better for the ones awaiting the Samsung Galaxy S8. The images come from @UniverseIce, revealing five shots and promised more in the coming days, Forbes reported. But while these pictures seem authentic, it would be wise to take them lightly for now.

Aside from the renders, the more important part about the Samsung Galaxy S8 is the features and specs it will come with. Thanks once again to Evan Blass (@evleaks), a spec sheet shows the next flagship sporting a 6.2-inch display, 12 MP rear camera, 8 MP front-facing camera, 64 GB internal storage, 4 GB of RAM and an Iris Scanner among others, Phandroid reported. There is no word on whether it will use an Exynos or Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. More updates should come out in the following weeks.
