Verizon To Launch LG G Pad 8.3 LTE

By Staff Reporter | Mar 04, 2014 05:17 PM EST

Rumors last week suggesting Verizon would launch the LG G Pad 8.3 LTE turned out to be true Tuesday as the carrier announced that it would indeed roll out the Android tablet in early March.

The LG G Pad 8.3 LTE will be available on March 6 at a special promotional price of $99.99. This price will only be available for the first four days before shooting up to $199.99.

"Tablets have become a key focus for consumers seeking riveting entertainment experiences and a go-to form factor for users who require a larger device that doesn't sacrifice power for portability," said Morris Lee, senior vice president and head of North American sales and marketing, LG Mobile Communications Company in a press statement. "With its big clear display and an easy-to-hold form-factor, the LG G Pad 8.3 LTE on Verizon Wireless is perfect for personal use or entertaining a group of friends, family or colleagues."

If you already own the LG G Pad 8.3, the G Pad 8.3 LTE will be familiar—it’s essentially the exact same device with an LTE antenna.  The tablet has a pretty impressive spec sheet, anchored by a 1.5GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 and 2GB RAM. Its 8.3” Full HD IPS display generates a pixel density of 273 ppi.
