Weighing only less than 1 pound, the tablet is running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Ellipsis 7 also comes featured with a  3.2-megapixel rear camera, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The device has 8GB of internal storage with an SD card slot. The tablet is designed for entertainment and productivity. The new tablets offers 4G LTE connectivity with mobile hotspot support. Consumer Demand

The new omnichannel consumers are able to research offers online, discuss information over video, have tablet access to sales associates from the stores, and have abilities to shop in real time or make payments using their mobile retail apps. Susan McPartlin, PwC’s US Retail & Consumer Sector leader states “As we enter an increasingly complex retail landscape with accelerating competitive pressures and digital shopping options, retailers will need to prepare for a wall-less omnichannel retail world, one where shoppers will come to expect a seamless brand experience online, in-store and across multimedia touch points. This multi-format portfolio combined with the proliferation of small, urban, alternative retail formats will pave the way for future growth, dismantling the mass homogenization and scale assumptions that propelled two decades of retail growth.” More than 18 percent of consumers used a mobile device to visit a retail store and 13 percent used a smartphone or tablet to make a purchase. Over 95 percent of U.S. retailers have optimized their websites for smartphone traffic.

The tablet is efficiently designed. The Verizon Ellipsis 7 is a holiday buy at an affordable price of $149.99. Verizon recently stated, “ With the holidays approaching, family members scattered across the country may want to stay in touch and exchange greetings. A front-facing camera combined with 4G LTE connectivity on the Ellipsis 7 makes video chatting with loved ones during holiday festivities fast and easy. Instead of passing the phone around, a family member can hold the tablet and get all the kids in one frame to greet an uncle or aunt face to face. “

Verizon is also offering $100 any new tablet for the holidays with any 2-year service contract.
