Nexus 5 Release Date Rumor: Flagship Google Smartphone to Launch October With Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie [REPORT]

The long awaited addition the Nexus line, the Nexus 5 is rumored to be based on the LG Optimus G2 and will have a release date of October 5th. The Nexus 5 OS is expected to be Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie according to leaks.

 For some time it was uncertain if LG was planning on creating the next device of the Nexus line with some statements by LG spokesmen. However we now know that the Nexus 5 will be based on the LG Optimus G2 and will have the following specs:

That would mean that some of the possible specifications on the Google Nexus 5 could include a 5.2 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Other specifications on the Google Nexus 5 may include a 2.3GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and the handset will also come with 2GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera.

Given that Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is also expected to come out in October, the Nexus 5 would be the first device to have the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS. Overall this means that there is plenty of reason to buy the Nexus 5 particularly since it promises to be an affordable device with good specs.
