‘Mass Effect: Andromeda' Patch 1.08 Now On Its Way With New Romance & Game Creator Options

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" patch 1.08 is now on its way. Recently, BioWare announced the update which expands the romance options for Scott Ryder, additional bug fixes, and new options to the character creator.

According to BioWare official blog site, Scott Ryder can now romance Jaal. The company points out that Jaal is the first squad mate of the same sex that Scott Ryder can become romantic with. Additionally, the update addresses one of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" romanced-themed achievements.

BioWare explained in a blog post that Scott Ryder didn't have a same-sex squad mate as a romance option. Not even an achievement for completing three romances is achieved with only male same-sex partners.

Developers at BioWare added that as the Angara have expressed their fluidity in how they perceive gender, it seemed only natural that Scott Ryder could have a relationship with Jaal. They consulted with members of the LGBTQ community, both externally and within their own studios. After carefully considering all feedbacks, they have decided that this was an important change to be made; the one that made sense for Scott Ryder, Jaal, and the Angara. BioWare added that it hopes then the relationship between Jaal and Scott Ryder feels as fulfilling and memorable for Scott as it does for Sara.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" patch 1.08 also improves the game's character creator by adding two new head, one each for female and male. There is also a new complexion option and more skin tones, as noted by VG247. Additionally, all hairstyles are now unlocked for both sexes, as is a new bald option. This patch also allows players to change their appearance mid-game at a station on the Tempest.

On the other hand, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" patch 1.08 fixes several bugs which include the audio for ammo pickups. Another issue addressed with this update is when melee attacks would not work if the revive icon was close to the center of the screen.
