ZTE, one of the world’s largest phone makers that specializes in making reasonably priced handsets, unveiled a new addition to the company’s Blade-branded devices in the international markets. Called the Blade D Lux, this android phablet costs around 3.89 million Dongs (or an equivalent of $173) in Vietnam and around SG$239 (or an equivalent of $166) in Singapore and comes only in white. It is not yet clear whether the device will be available in other color variants soon.   At the moment, Blade D Lux has been made available only in Vietnam and Singapore, according to reports. However, we assume that these smartphones will be offered to other countries soon.

The device features dual-SIM that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels (HD) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass coating. Packed in the handset is a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, with multi-tasking handled by 2GB of RAM. At the back is a 13-megapixel rear camera; the front shooter is an 8-megapixel sensor and is accompanied by an LED flash so that users can take selfies in every condition.

The internal storage is 16GB with an option to expand via a microSD slot. It also provides dual SIM functionality. Other specs include 4G LTE support, the usual connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Sources also mentioned that the company has not yet revealed if the Blade D Lux will come to other markets, but we should see it go on sale in China as well as in a couple other Asian markets.

ZTE also launched three other Android 5.1 Lollipop-based mid-range handsets, namely the Blade X3, Blade X5, and also Blade X9 in November of last year. It also unveiled its Blade S7 smartphone, touted by the company as 'the perfect smartphone for selfie lovers.'
