ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC Is Now Ready For Market Launch With Its 15.6-inch USB-C Monitor

The revealed ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC last IFA 2016 seems to be ready for its release and it is still very appealing in many aspects. This product is ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC about to hit the market.

According to The Verge, ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC is a 15.6-inch USB monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a conventional refresh rate of 60Hz. This device will feature an IPS panel without an anti-glare coating, a contrast ratio of 800:1 and a brightness of 220 cd / m2. Still, no information has been given in regards to its angles and response time, however, given by the IPS panel and the intended usage; the viewing angles must be pretty valued.

This ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC is designed to be highly portable keeping the dimensions as compact as possible. ASUS has been able to make the MB16AC remarkably thin at only 8.0 mm. Its metal construction also allowed reducing the bezels surrounding the display to a relatively narrow 6.5mm. By this, the overall effect of the compact dimensions is that this also a very lightweight USB monitor, weighing at 780 grams.

Similar to any other portable monitors, the ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC only needs a single USB connector for both power and video transmission. Although this model offers a hybrid USB Type-C port that not only supports DisplayPort over USB-C but a fully compatible one with USB 3.0 Type-A ports.

As noted by GSM Arena, there's also a host of screen overlay functions such as a timer, a crosshair, photo modes, and an alignment grid. For the highlight feature, it offers the ASUS Eye Care technology which is designed to combine flicker reduction and a blue light filter to reduce eye fatigue.

Still, there's no firm information for ASUS ZenScreen MB16AC's price and availability. However, Netherlands-based online retailer Redable.nl expects stock as early as May 29, 2017. While US-based B&H Photo Video lists expect the availability in July 2017.
