Reports have been gathered about Samsung's upcoming updates for both Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016). Specification details are also published; comparing them with their predecessors, which shows how big the upgrades that will hit for both devices.

Android Authority recently published specifications of the upcoming Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017), then compares it with their predecessors as well. Both devices are reported to sport a full metal body, which runs on the latest Android Nougat software, and will come with a fingerprint scanning support underneath its Home Button.

Samsung's Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) are also said to support 4G VoLTE, which is a key that's been missing in the predecessors. However, rear cameras in both smartphones will stay at 13MP, also with 13MP on their front cameras along with front flash.

When it comes to individual specifications, the Galaxy J5 (2017) will have a 5.2-inch HD sAMOLED display, supported by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor, having 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) will be equipped with a 3000mAh battery, while the predecessor packs a 3100mAh battery. All of the other specs are identical to its predecessor, Phone Arena reported.

Meanwhile, Galaxy J7 (2017) published specification will feature a 5.5-inch full-HD sAMOLED display, supported by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, having 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage; similar to the Galaxy J5 (2017). Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) will be equipped with a 2600mAh, while its predecessor has only 3300mAh battery.

These upcoming Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) updated devices were wisely designed by Samsung; keeping both devices on the right track of smartphone competition. Several leaked images illustrate that there is a U-shaped pattern at the back for a little differentiation. Of course, as stated earlier these devices will offer a metal unibody, and the camera structure has also been changed to a vertical capsule format.

Samsung's Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) are expected to launch soon, which starts at $310 for the Galaxy J5 (2017), and $376 for the Galaxy J7 (2017). Stay tuned for more updates.
