$14 ‘NieR: Automata’ DLC Featuring Costume & Colosseum Out On Tuesday

Platinum Games just released on Tuesday, May 2, downloadable content 3C31D119440927 for the “NieR: Automata” game. The DLC costs $14 which contains new costumes, new equipment, and extra fights in multiple arenas.

The DLC was released along with a new trailer for “NieR: Automata.” Also part of the newly released DLC is a boss fight that could break the fourth wall, Destructoid reported. The gameplay features three colosseums that would pit the players against a small horde of enemies.

But despite the enemies in “NieR: Automata” being just a small horde, it is not an easy victory, Tom’s Hardware points out. However, if the gamer has stayed alive and took out all the enemies, the player would get some rewards such as different hair colors, character costumes for “NieR: Replicant,” or a different set of appearances for bullets from the enemy.

The rewards in “NieR: Automata” include some masks with special effect when equipped. For players who would find the foes in the colosseum too easy to beat, they can progress to the two-on-one boss battle. The fight would feature Yosuke Matsuda and Kenichi Sato who are the CEOs of Square Enix and Platinum Games, respectively.

The long name of the DLC, 3C31D119440927, has partial reference to “NieR: Automata” contents. The costume rewards and three colosseums with the new content are the reference to “3C3C.” The “1D1” refers to “1 Dream and Date." But the remaining combination of letters and digits, 19440927, is something the player must figure out on his own.

Heavy reports the name of the three costumes in the new “NieR: Automata” DLC are Revealing Outfit, Young Man’s Outfit, and Destroyer’s Outfit. “Nier: Replicant,” from where the three costumes come, is the exclusive version of the original “NieR” game in Japan for PlayStation 3. The game includes “Deserving of Life,” a new music track by amazarashi, a rock band.
