Apr 30, 2017 09:56 AM EDT

Acer introduced Nitro 5 on Thursday at an Acer event in New York. This affordable laptop is for all types of gamers, including the ones who do not want to spend much on gaming laptops that they use sporadically.

As mentioned in PC World, the new Acer Nitro 5 features the latest NVIDIA graphics chips and an advanced dual-fan cooling system into a slim casing that is just 18.9mm (or 0.75 inches) tall. The laptop is packed with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti graphics and the company's CoolBoost cooling system.

At its New York presentation, the company didn't mull over very long on each product, so details about theAcer Nitro 5 laptop are less. Acer says the Nitro 5 is carefully balanced to give the gamers exactly what they need: "all of the really important, necessary features without spending the hefty amount," said Acer.

The Acer Nitro 5 is a 15-inch laptop that comes with an FHD IPS display and supports 7th generation Intel processors, two NV Me SSDs in RAID 0 Configuration, and up to 32 GBof DDR4 RAM. It will also have a Thunderbolt 3 port that provides speeds up to 40 Gbps and support for dual 4K output, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI port, a display port, and an Ethernet port, as per CNET, reported.

The Acer Nitro 5's CoolBoost technology will let the user adjust the rpm speed of the laptop's fans. Chen said that we can control that process. To enable the gamers to play efficiently, Acer has placed the trackpad right below the screen and above the keyboard. Although chances are people who want this Acer Nitro 5 will be using a mouse, but it does give the Triton 700 a unique design that other gaming laptops don't have.

The Acer Nitro 5 is definitely one of the thinnest gaming laptops out there. However, the laptop will be available in August for $3,000.
