Gionee M6S Plus: Official Specs, Features, Price & Release Date Announced

Gionee has announced a new smartphone in China called Gionee M6S Plus. It has a special encrypted chip that secures personal data, calls, and SMS. The Gionee M6S plus smartphone comes with 64GB and 256GB storage memory options, both expandable up to 256GB using a MicroSD card. It has Dual SIM slots and supports 4G VoLTE as well.

The smartphone features a 6-inch on-cell AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. The Gionee M6S plus offers 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, which supports multi-touch. The Gionee M6s Plus smartphone measures 163.3 x 80.9 x 8.25 mm and weighs about 215 grams. The smartphone is powered by a 6020 mAh battery capacity with Fast Charging support.

Inside, the Gionee M6S plus is equipped with an octa-core (1.95GHz A72 x 4 + 1.44GHz A53 x 4) Snapdragon 653 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. The SoC is backed by 6GB LPDDR3 RAM. On the front side of the smartphone is an 8MP camera with 1.4µm pixel size and F/2.0 Aperture. The smartphone comes with a 12MP rear camera with 1.4µm pixel size, F/1.9 Aperture, dual pixel focus and dual-tone LED Flash reported Gadgets.

Connectivity wise, the Gionee M6S plus boasts of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/AC, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz). The smartphone also has Bluetooth V4.0, GPS for navigation, MicroUSB V2.0 and a 3.5mm Audio Jack for playing music.

According to MySmartPrice, the phone Gionee M6S plus sports a light sensor, gravity sensor, electronic compass, compass, gyro, and proximity sensor. However, Gionee says that M6S Plus provides users with security features associated with payment options and that the live fingerprint scanning feature takes user's fingerprint as well as heart rate to verify user's identity.

The Gionee M6S Plus price starts at $508 for 64GB variant and $625 for 256GB storage model. The smartphone comes in Ink Black color and is already up for pre-order in China. The handset will go on sale next month.
