‘Mass Effect Andromeda’ Latest Update: Harsh Criticism Getting To Lead Designers, Reiterates Call For Help

Apr 22, 2017 09:55 PM EDT

“Mass Effect Andromeda” has been getting heavy criticism, so harsh that the feedback has been getting to the game developers. Lead Designer Ian Frazier could not hide his disappointment, finding the criticism too tough to read.

Discouraging as it may seem, the fan reaction to “Mass Effect Andromeda” offers a positive take in a way for the developers. It draws out the shortcomings they had for the game which can be used to make the necessary improvements to the action role-playing game from BioWare according to PlayStation Lifestyle.

Frazier and the team may be disdained with the comments but the fact is that there is work to be done for “Mass Effect Andromeda.” Hence, huge will-power will be needed to address the negativity – no matter how low the comments may be, Just Push Start reported. Then again, it shows how hooked gamers are so game developers may use that as a means to try and come up with something to satisfy the complaints.

The case of “Mass Effect Andromeda” is no different from other game issues. Most know how titles like “No Man’s Sky” hit rock-bottom but that did not stop Hello Games developers from trying to improve the space exploration game. BioWare developers are more likely to do the same, bearing in mind that completely satisfying the gaming community is nearly impossible.

Frazier and his team may want to look back into a procedural design that they did not apply. It was not implemented because it failed to produce satisfactory results – likely something that gamers would lash out for “Mass Effect Andromeda.”

There are some who could care less on the shortcoming of “Mass Effect Andromeda” though the disappointed fans are overpowering that niche. Hopefully, Frazier and company can improve on those, even if it is just done via small steps to appease the high-demanding gaming community.
