As a free-open-to-public operation system company, LineageOS has been working hard to bring more fixes and features to its supported devices under its wings. It is recently reported that LineageOS 14.1 update has obtained Android 7.1.2 Nougat and April Security Patches.

Alongside the Android 7.1.2 Nougat and April Security Patches, LineageOS 14.1 update has also added few newly supported devices to its roster. This news is officially coming from Lineage blog, where it was announced as "Extra Tiles" issue.

LineageOS 14.1 update will bring general improvements to the increased battery usage, Bluetooth, and other minor bug fixes. Besides that, there will be other enhancement including new battery usage alerts list.

LineageOS project has delivered many patch notes before LineageOS 14.1 update for either minor or major bugs in this recent time specifically for its popular custom ROM. Another additional feature that Lineage brings is the BitCoin donations as the free-to-public-OS company is now taking donations to help cover the monthly website and server costs. Only BitCoin is accepted so far but PayPal might be added soon.

Alongside LineageOS 14.1 update, the ROM will also add up the numbers of supported mobiles into its group. Smartphones that are officially included are HTC M9 (GSM) Himaul, HTC M9 (Verizon) Himawl, 2016 Moto Z Griffin, Letv LeEco Le 2 (International) s2, Letv LeEco LePro 3 z11, LG L90 w7, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 LTE (Sprint) lt021tespr, Yu Yuphoria Lettuce, and Yu Yureka Tomato, as reported by Androidauthority.

If users own one of the Smartphones mentioned above, they can try to use this custom ROM. It is believed that LineageOS will add more supported devices into its lists in the near future. Android Police gives out a report that LineageOS also gives a similar note to Lineage 14.1 that builds for the Nextbit Robin have been temporarily disabled due to major bugs and will start functioning again after the custom ROM Company can make a fix for that.
