‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Latest News & Update: Marston Returns! Potential Release Date Revealed

Apr 20, 2017 05:09 PM EDT

Hardcore gamers are still keeping tabs on when “Red Dead Redemption 2” will officially come out. To date, trailers and the fact that the sequel is coming has forced most to make their own varying speculations. It seems that something concrete to RDR2 has finally cropped up.

First off, Rockstar Games has confirmed that the main protagonist for “Red Dead Redemption2” will be Marston. That said, the second installment of the “Red Dead Redemption” franchise will thus be a prequel, sending off wild possibilities on game play expectations. Curiously, the prequel will allegedly include boat travels and actual life in the unpredictable western setting.

It seems that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will focus on the life of Marston before the events that happened on “Red Dead Redemption 1.” Things could be rougher, referring to the life in the western world which could reveal a lot about the character of Marston. The setting seems to point to the Great Plain, largely in part due to the leaked map, Game Rant reported.

To most, the boat travels on “Red Dead Redemption 2” seem a bit off. Then again, traveling on canoes or prairies could make up for that though it will be interesting if these scenarios will play a major role in the prequel. Could the other shadows on the poster of RDR2 be an indication of backup for Marston?

Expected to be playable on the Sony PS4 and Xbox One, the next important thing in the minds of most is the actual release date of “Red Dead Redemption 2.” There were suggestions before that the plausible date for that to happen was Sept. 26, 2017. But it seems that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will officially come out on Oct. 3 instead, barring any delays that could arise in the coming months, Games Radar reported.

With most gamers eager to play something new, the seven-year wait has finally come to pass. The suggested release dates are not that far off so get ready for some new action and adventures on “Red Dead Redemption 2” soon!
