Verizon Rolls Out Android 7.0 Nougat Update To Its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 & S6 Edge+

New updates reveal that Verizon is rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+. According to reports, Android Nougat updates is now available for Verizon's Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+, starting today.

Following the recent rollout of the update by AT&T and Sprint, Verizon Wireless has today commenced the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat for its own devices. However, the developer is not rolling out the newer version of the update - Android 7.1 Nougat for Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+.

Details about the release of the Android 7.0 Nougat for Verizon's Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ was first spotted by a tipster, but Android Police reported that users can now find detailed information about the update on the Verizon site. Although it has been a while since the devices were launched, it is believed that this is an amazing news for users.

According to Phone Arena, users of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ can access the update right away but just like previous similar updates, it will be rolled out in stages. It is advised that users who have not yet seen the Android 7.0 Nougat update on their Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ should not worry as it will likely take several days before it rolls out to all users.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update is being pushed over-the-air to Verizon's Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ users, and it is reported that Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ users can also check manually for any available updates by heading to Settings and then System update. It is reported that Verizon stated that the new Android 7.0 Nougat update features the latest security patches, but, it is not clear if Verizon was referring to the April security patch or that of March just like the one on Sprint's and AT&T's Note 5 and S6 edge+.

According to reports, Verizon also added that the new update does not only include bug fixes and security updates, but the 7.0 version of Android update now boosts the speed of Verizon Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. Verizon also promised a fresh, simple user interface and new customization options. The Verizon Galaxy S6 edge+ will be getting a software version number NRD90M.G928VVRU3CQB9 and the Galaxy Note5 will be getting NRD90M.N920VVRU3CQB9.
