The "Fairy Tail" manga has officially entered its final arc and the final battle that fans have been waiting for is bound to happen anytime soon. Just when Ancologia returns in the back to back release of chapters 522 and 523, the next chapter will lead the guild to the final battle. This will officially mark the conclusion of Natsu's story.
In Chapters 522 and 523, Zeref and Gray had an encounter where Gray offered his life so that his friends would be protected. With this, Natsu's best friend planned to use The Lost Attributes to lock The Black Mage in a shell that will erase Gray from existence. They were left with no choice. This was the only way that Zeref could have been beaten without killing him since doing so would also kill Natsu.
Just recently, Fairy Tail's official website released a theatrical poster and information page, revealing that the manga has already reached its final arc. As the finale is now closer than ever, fans can expect the happenings to get more and more intense, especially considering that the Black Dragon Slayer has already returned.
Chapter 524 is titled "Black Future." It follows Ancologia as he continues to impose threat upon all other members of the guild. In the last page of chapter 523, it was hinted that the new opponent will be joining the final battle where fans can see Ezra once again. It should be remembered that after his intense battle in chapter 519, fans have never seen him ever since.
Comicbook.com reports that rumors have been going around that when Ezra returns to the battlefield, he will go head on not only with Ancologia but also with Irene. There are also some who would think that the Black Dragon Slayer was not after Ezra after all, but Wendy.
However, the official preview for this upcoming chapter is yet to be released and fans should take these rumors with a grain of salt. As of now, the only things that are sure are that Ancologia will be seen again in chapter 524 to terrorize the guild members.
