Press renders of the Huawei P10 recently leaked, which appeared to be official. The company's next flagship model is set to launch at a press conference in Barcelona, just before the Mobile World Congress 2017 begins. A larger P10 Plus is also expected to arrive.

Based on the images on GSMArena, the Huawei P10 showcases a dark exterior with a black front and a dark grey rear. The backside of the Android handset seems to come in matte, most likely for extra protection against scratches and bumps. The topmost portion of the P10's rear houses a Leica dual-camera setup and a dual-tone LED flash. The Huawei logo appears at the center of the smartphone's rear.

Based on a report by XDADevelopers, the front of the Huawei P10 features a flat display panel with very slim side bezels. There is a fingerprint reader mounted on the front and right under the screen. The upcoming flagship model is said to include a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a Kirin 960 octa-core chipset, similar to the Huawei Mate 9, and a 3,100mAh battery. The P10 may run on a Kirin 960 processor, with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. It may have anywhere between 32GB and 128GB of internal storage. It may also retain the 3.5mm jack.

The Huawei P10 is rumored to have 12-megapixel dual-cameras, plus a 5-megapixel front shooter, with a layout similar either to the P9 and Mate 9. There is no confirmation regarding the device's cameras, although some believe that it may sport a second-gen Leica setup, consisting of 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel rear shooters. There are also talks of a third-gen Leica camera setup.

There are rumors that there will also be a Huawei P10 Plus, with a 5.7-inch QHD dual-curved edge panel and fingerprint sensor mounted at the back. The P10 Plus will slightly be larger, although both models may run the latest EMUI 5.1 skin by Huawei, on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. The P10 recently acquired FCC certification earlier in February. Overall, the P10 is set to compete with the top-tier smartphones of the year, namely the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8.

The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are expected to launch on Feb. 26, 2017 in Barcelona, together with other Huawei devices. The new version of the UI overlay is said to be shown at MWC 2017, as well as the Huawei Watch 2. The P10 may become available in March or April 2017.
