Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Book, a new powerful tablet that will compete with the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro. There are rumors that the device may be introduced before the end of February 2017. More Samsung tablets and its next flagship smartphone are also reportedly in development.

According to MSPowerUser, the Samsung Galaxy Book may be powered by the Microsoft Windows 10 OS. A new Book Settings Windows 10 app was also spotted in the Windows Store, which featured various new features like Battery Life Extender, Pattern Log-In, Pen, User manual, Screen mode and other options specific to Samsung. The app description stated that Book Settings is an application for the upcoming premium tablet, which may not function normally on other devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Book will reportedly include a highly detailed AMOLED screen and the S Pen stylus. The upcoming tablet may also showcase an interesting form factor. Samsung already has a trademark for the Galaxy Book, which dates back to 2012. The details on the rumored device are still very limited, but Samsung is expected to make an announcement soon.

Based on a Forbes report, Samsung will soon introduce the Galaxy TabPro S2 at MWC 2017 to compete with the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The tablet will operate on Windows 10, a seventh-generation Intel Kaby Lake Core i5 chipset, 4GB of RAM and a 5070mAh battery. It will also have a Quad HD Super AMOLED screen and showcase a thin and lightweight design, measuring 12 inches total. At least one version of the Galaxy TabPro S2 will include LTE connectivity. The device will be less powerful than the Samsung Galaxy Book, and said to prepare for the launch of the Galaxy TabPro S3, which Samsung is also rumored to be working on.

The Samsung TabPro S3 will run on Android, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of flash memory. It will allegedly measure 9.6 inches, with a pixel resolution of 2048 x 1536, a 12-megapixel rear camera and an S Pen stylus. Users believe that the Samsung Galaxy Book will launch after the TabPro S3, together with the next flagship smartphone -- the Samsung Galaxy S8. The handset is expected to run on a Snapdragon 830 processor and 6GB of RAM. It is said to have a 4K screen, an iris scanner or foldable screen, and an enhanced camera.

The South Korean-based company has yet to confirm the rumored devices. Added specifications regarding the Samsung Galaxy Book and upcoming tablets and handsets are expected at MWC 2017. More updates and details will arrive soon.
